Inspired by the world of tattoo artists, Hannah explores the close connection between humans and gorillas. Using a mixture of tribal art, portraits and quotes from the great gorilla conservationist Dian Fossey, the tongue-in-cheek humour of the art choices bring the relationship still closer. The numbers embedded in the bionic arm signify the last official count of wild gorillas - just 1063!
Hannah was invited to be one of only 15 artists participating in the Tusk Gorilla Trail alongside Ronnie and Sally Wood, John Cleese and Jen Wade, Rankin and David Yarrow. The gorillas went to auction on the 20th November, with Hannah's gorilla raising a staggering £10,000 for Tusk.
